About Steve sarm

Steve Sarm is a 2006 graduate of Purdue University where he graduated with honors and with a degree specializing in Political Science. While at Purdue University, Steve volunteered his time at the Tippecanoe Legal Aid office during the school year and volunteered his time at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the summers.
After graduating from Purdue, Steve attended Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois, where he graduated in 2009. In law school, Steve worked at the SIU Legal Aid Center, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Civil Division and also worked writing legal articles for the Southern Illinois University Law Review.
Steve began his legal career as an Assistant State's Attorney in Peoria County in 2009 where he prosecuted traffic, DUI, misdemeanor and felony cases. It was in this capacity where Steve learned the complex procedural and intricate strategies involved in jury trials.
In 2012, Steve left the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s office to pursue a career in private practice specializing in criminal defense. Since going into private practice, Steve has expanded his concentration in criminal defense (both State and Federal) to include personal injury, civil litigation and orders of protection.
Steve believes that above all, vigorous advocacy and solemn loyalty to clients are the most important characteristics of an attorney.
